Contest Rules
- No registration fees
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must hold Canadian citizenship
- Must have at least 16 minutes of material (or 2 distinct sets)
- Must not be under a production contract for a solo comedy show, nor have granted an option or right of first negotiation to another producer for such a show
- Must be available for all stages of the contest (May 30, July 16 & 18, 2026)
- Eligibility: Contest open to French-speaking comedians only.

The 4 finalists will present a second 8-minute set as the opening act for the FIFHR show alongside comedians from France, Belgium, and Switzerland, during Juste pour rire Montréal.
The grand winner will be chosen by the jury the same evening and announced at the end of the show.

The FIFHR is an international network made up of Juste pour rire, Morges-sous-Rire in Switzerland, the Paris Comedy Festival, and Namur is a Joke in Belgium.
The organization provides comedy industry professionals with an unparalleled network of artists and presenters, fostering cultural exchange and boosting the touristic visibility of participating countries. Committed to promoting Québécois culture internationally, the Federation enables collaborative projects for both stage and screen, thanks to the partnerships it generates.
