Participation in Just For Laughs New Faces: Creators (“JFLNFC”) at Just For Laughs Montréal (the “Festival”) is subject to the following terms and conditions. By submitting samples of comedic social media content (the “Creator Content”) and/or participating in JFLNFC, the Entrant acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance. By submitting the Creator Content to participate in JFLNFC, the Entrant accepts all terms and provisions set forth in these Submission Terms and Conditions. The Entrant acknowledges that no representations, inducements, promises or assurances of any kind, except those set forth explicitly in these Submission Terms and Conditions, have been made to the Entrant by Just For Laughs Festival, Just For Entertainment Group Inc. and its affiliates (collectively the “JFL Parties” or a “JFL Party”).


2. Submission Criteria. See Submission Guidelines. New Faces Creators Guidelines - 2026.


3. No Promise. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Creator Content is being submitted without promise or inducement by any JFL Parties, and that such submission does not create any obligation on the part of the JFL Parties to select the Entrant for JFLNFC, or to acknowledge the submission of the Creator Content.


4. Selection. Following completion of the selection process, the Just For Laughs Festival will attempt to contact the Entrant using the information provided on the submission form to notify the Entrant of their selection. The Entrant is solely responsible for ensuring the contact information provided in the submission is correct throughout the entirety of the Festival selection period (Feb 1st, 2026-July 15th, 2026). The Just For Laughs Festival is not responsible for any failure to contact the Entrant using the information provided in the submission.


5. Submission Video & Promotional Rights. In the event that the Entrant is selected for JFLNFC, Entrant hereby grants the JFL Parties the non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, and publicly display the Submission Video (in whole or in part) across the JFL Parties’ platforms, including social media, digital, broadcast, and promotional materials, in connection with the Festival and related initiatives.

   Should the Entrant be selected for JFLNFC, Entrant agrees to provide the JFL Parties with a compilation of highlights of their content (the “Sizzle Reel”) in the format required by the Just For Laughs Festival. The JFL Parties shall retain final approval over the Sizzle Reel. Entrant shall be solely responsible for any costs associated with delivery of the Sizzle Reel.



6. No Feedback. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the JFL Parties are under no obligation to provide any comments or feedback regarding the submitted Creator Content or the manner in which the Creator Content is reviewed, accepted or refused. The JFL Parties shall not be held responsible or liable for any comments, opinions, or feedback made during the evaluation process of the Creator Content, or the presentation during the Festival of, the Sizzle Reel.
7. Permission for Exhibition. By submitting Creator Content for JFLNFC, the Entrant grants the JFL Parties a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to exhibit, reproduce, publish, distribute, and promote the Creator Content (including the Submission Video) and any Sizzle Reel created in connection with JFLNFC, in whole or in part, in any media now known or hereafter devised, for purposes related to the promotion of JFLNFC, the Festival, and Just For Laughs. This includes, without limitation, screening the Creator Content during Festival events, posting it on Just For Laughs’ social media channels and digital platforms, and using excerpts in promotional materials.


8. Presentation. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that final decisions regarding the Creator Content and Sizzle Reel's presentation at the Festival, such as the date and time of the JFLNFC Q&A, shall rest with the JFL Parties.


9. Distribution of Contact Information. By submitting to JFLNFC, the Entrant grants the JFL Parties permission to distribute the Entrant’s name, contact information, and associated project details to third parties or partners for potential collaboration, marketing, or business opportunities, subject to customary non-disclosure commitment.


10. Publicity/Promotions and Marketing. By agreeing to participate in JFLNFC, the Entrant grants the JFL Parties the non-exclusive right to display their name, headshot, company name, company email, and approved biographical material for marketing and promotional purposes. Should the Entrant be selected, the Entrant permits the JFL Parties to use approved clips of the Creator Content and Sizzle Reel for press and promotional purposes before, during, and no later than six (6) months after the end of the Festival.


11. Development Opportunity. As part of the Just For Laughs New Faces Creators program, selected Entrants will have the opportunity to collaborate with the JFL creative development team to explore and develop a mutually agreed-upon project. Participation in the development opportunity is voluntary.

    Nothing herein shall restrict the Entrant from creating, developing, or exploiting other projects outside of the mutually agreed-upon project.



12. Festival Availability. If selected for the New Faces Creators Program (as further detailed in the applicable offer letter), Artist agrees to be available during their stay at the Festival for scheduled rehearsals and technical run-throughs. Artist further agrees to be reasonably available during their stay for media activities, promotional appearances, industry events, and other customary Festival-related obligations. Artist shall disclose any known scheduling conflicts in advance of accepting the offer and shall promptly notify Festival of any conflicts that arise thereafter.


13. Retention of Rights. Except to the extent provided herein, all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights, in any content presented or submitted for consideration shall remain solely and exclusively with the Entrant.

    This clause does not restrict Just For Laughs Festival from documenting or publicizing Festival activities, including the presentation of the Creator Content or Sizzle Reel, provided such documentation or publicity does not imply ownership, authorship, or endorsement.



14. No Fees or Monetary Reward. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the JFL Parties are not obligated to provide any fees, royalties, or other monetary compensation for submitting or having the Sizzle Reel presented at the Festival, except for a travel stipend and hotel accommodations to be provided to selected Entrants, at Just For Laughs Festival’s sole discretion, and should the Entrant not reside within the Greater Montreal Area.


15. No Relationship, No Endorsement. In the event that the Entrant is selected by the Just For Laughs Festival, the Entrant acknowledges that the presentation of the Creator Content and Sizzle Reel at the Festival does not and will not create any confidential or fiduciary relationship between the JFL Parties and the Entrant, nor does it in any way constitute an express or implied endorsement or approval by the JFL Parties of the content of the Creator Content and Sizzle Reel or any opinion expressed therein.


16. Rights and Warranties. The Entrant represents and warrants that:
    • a. Creator Content, Submission Video, Sizzle Reel and any content provided by the Entrant for inclusion in the Collab Post have been, are and will be originally created by the Entrant and the Entrant holds all necessary rights, titles, and interests in and to the intellectual property underlying such contents.
    • b. the Creator Content, Submission Video and Sizzle Reel comply with the criteria set out in s. 2 hereabove.

    False representations may result in disqualification and legal liability.



17. Indemnification. The Entrant shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the JFL Parties, their employees, affiliates, assignees, directors, officers, partners, and licensees from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees and costs of litigation) arising out of or related to the Creator Content, Sizzle Reel and any content provided by the Entrant for inclusion in the Collab Post, including but not limited to:
    • False representations, or third-party claims of ownership or infringement.
    • Misappropriation of any patent, trademark, trade name, trade dress, copyright, trade secret, or other proprietary right.
    • Entrant's performance of their obligations, representations, and warranties hereunder.


18. Cancellation and Drop-Out. If the Entrant(s) associated with the Creator Content originally chosen for presentation are unable to attend the Festival, or if the JFL Parties determine, at their sole discretion, that the Sizzle Reel is unsuitable for presentation, the JFL Parties reserve the right to cancel its presentation at the Festival and select an alternative Entrant from the entry pool. In such an event, no travel reimbursements or promotional benefits shall be owed to the Entrant.


19. Similar Projects Disclaimer. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that JFL Parties may have received, may receive in the future, or may independently develop materials, concepts, ideas, or projects that are similar to or identical to the Entrant’s submitted Creator Content and Sizzle Reel. The Entrant further acknowledges that the JFL Parties may already be working on similar concepts or may receive submissions from third parties with comparable ideas.

    The Entrant further agrees that their submission does not create an obligation on the JFL Parties to compensate, credit, or negotiate with them in any way should the JFL Parties develop, acquire, or pursue similar material independently. The Entrant waives any claim against the JFL Parties related to the use of such similar or identical material, provided that the JFL Parties has an independent legal right to use it.



20. Law. The Submission Terms and Conditions will be governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Québec. The parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Province of Québec.
